Birthday in Hospice
Jim was admitted to the in-patient unit of Hospice yesterday. They want to look at all the drugs he's on and hope to tailor them to control his anxiety, restlessness, and intermittent confusion. Also to allow him to sleep. He seems slightly improved today and may come home tomorrow. Many visitors to wish him a Happy Birthday--73 today! Erin came with Finlay and Maeve and Pop invited the girls into bed with him for a birthday hug. Pat and Rick, Carol and Fred, Phil Rodilosso, and Jack O'Hara also came for a visit. And many, many phone calls with good wishes. How blessed we are with family and friends! Barbara

Bill and I have just recently learned of your blogspot. What a testament to you both to have so many visitors to your site! By now you must have heard every good wish there is, but we'd like to add that we are thinking of you and praying for you, and wishing we could see you wearing that darn upsidedown toolbelt at John and Susan's shorehouse! We know spending your birthday at a Hospice facility wouldn't be your first choice, but we hope it was a good day for you. Our love, Bill and Ethel
ReplyDeleteI haven't watched the news yet this morning, so not sure what your weather report is today. Hope it's better than when I was talking to you yesterday.Curious to know if you ever got out of the house yesterday. Well dear friends- we are now the great grandparents of Kristopher David, Megan's new baby boy! He was delivered by Cesarean Section last night at 11:18 weighing 8 lbs 1 oz and 19.5 in. Mother and baby both fine! This great grandmother totally exhausted. Got home at 1:30 am but slept until 11. I'll send a picture soon. So Jim, another baby to celebrate a December birthday! Happy birthday to you again! Enjoy looking at the beautiful snow for me- I do miss seeing it- and be glad that you don't have to shovel it! God bless! Sending many hugs and kisses with love,
