More Normal
Still having ups and downs with the sleeping (last night a good night/Friday night a disaster). PT is down to twice a week for 2 more weeks and that has really made Jim stronger. His appetite is back to normal also (a side effect of one of his drugs is "overeating") so I think we'll be seeing a weight gain soon. He entered a weight bet with Frank Birkenseher --Frank has to lose and Jim has to gain! Poor Frank--didn't know about the side effect of the drug--maybe you should cry foul! Anyway, things are looking more normal. Jim wanted to go to church today, so we did. We went to Queen of Peace and saw Mike Hanna (a long-time high school friend of Mike's) directing the choir. It was a wonderful liturgy--so we may have discovered a new church to go to! Barbara

Barb, We are glad that you have some additional help at home, and are happy to hear that Jim is eating more. Both of you are still in our thoughts!
ReplyDeleteFrank couldn't lose weight for a better "cause"!....to help his friend GAIN some. The "bet" thing always works with Jim. Thanks Frank!!! Love to all, Susan
ReplyDeleteTo our very dear friends,
ReplyDeleteThinking of you so much this morning and hoping the day goes well for both of you. Many prayers being said! Very busy at work this week- wow- 25 babies on Tuesday- Wednesday seemed like a blur after the fatigue of the previous day. Seems to me that I am getting too old for this hectic baby business! This morning off to St. John Hospital where Mary is having rotator cuff surgery-OUCH! Hope all goes well. Susan's Jordan (8)was riding his bike without a helmet yesterday, fell and has a concussion and many, many road burns, cuts etc! Thank God it wasn't worse. Hope it was an eye opener regarding the helmet! He'll look impressive for the first day of school next Tuesday. Remember when the four of us were in Williamsburg years ago and I had that bike accident? I looked ridiculous! And Jim made me get back on that bike the very next day! Thank you Jim! Enough of my rambling. Gotta go! Love you two!
Prayers, hugs and kisses,
Jeanne, Frank and Alyssa
