5th Cycle
Yesterday Jim started his 5th cycle of chemo--tolerated it well. Today our friend Maureen is driving him to NIH to have IV fluids and have his bag changed. Still tired and weak, a little less wired on the "half-dose" (120 mg.) of Prednisone--he was able to sleep last night. Thanks to Sally for staying with Jim last evening while I went to see Riverdance at Wolfe Trap with Joe, Ann, and Maureen--it was fabulous! Barbara

We're glad it's going well and that Jim can get that much needed rest. Thank God for good friends and family, and of couse, for Irish dancers! We could all use some of their energy. Glad you had a night out, Barb. Sending you and Jim all our love, Susan and John
ReplyDeleteDear Barbara and Jim,
ReplyDeleteJust got home at about 9 PM from a trip to New Mexico- left here early last Friday morning. Went for a fiftieth anniversary party for friends Joan and Jim Lenzo. Showed Alyssa the two different houses we lived in during our years there, schools our kids went to, church we went to. Took her to White Sands, up the mountain to Cloudcroft. A busy four day weekend. Alyssa loved the weather there and I have to admit that I wondered why we had ever left. Cool at night, no mosquitoes! Lovely! Anyway- hadn't gotten to check up on you two for awhile. What great news about the scans! God bless both of you. So as I'm typing I'm realizing that it is already Tuesday morning (wee hours) and soon you will be going for your last day of cycle five! I hope it has been going well. You are both in our thoughts and prayers every day. Hope to talk to you soon.
Much love from,
Jeanne, Frank and Alyssa
