Planning for Next Cycle

Jim still feeling better, albeit very tired. We went to NIH today for blood draw since his hemoglobin was so low on Sunday (8.8) and they wanted to see if he needed a blood transfusion. Today it was up to 9.5 so they did not give him blood and will reevaluate that on Thursday when he has a clinic appt. He will also have a PICC line inserted that day.
The new plan is to start the second cycle of chemo on Saturday, April 25th. So he will have a few days of R&R before starting again. Barbara

  8. Hello cousin Jim and Barbara. Sounds like things are going well. Ethan went to work today (NCI) so I'm here at his place in Wheaton. I'm guessing that you need rest and quiet (and not a bunch of visitors like myself) between your clinic visits. Love to you both. Val.

  11. Kevin,
Someone wrote "Has Jim Fay happened to you...", something I only thought of writing, but did not, when I was thinking about Uncle Jim's happening to me I thought about how he wets his eyebrows and twists and curls them up at the end to scare you...when I was little IT DID SCARE ME!!!...as I got older I thought it was funny. Anyway, I didn't write that. So, maybe everyone who didn't could write something that "happened" and mention that they are not the original writer...Uncle Jim could hear more funny/loving anecdotes and use them as antidotes. Yes, that was very excellent of that person - thank you person:-) Love, Shar
