A Little Better Today
Still in hospital--temp only went to 103 degrees today. Getting great care, including IV antibiotics. Neutrophils at 110 and falling (expected), so he's wearing a mask and continues to get the daily Neupogen shot which increases neutrophil production. Hemoglobin at 8.4 so he will probably get a transfusion tomorrow. Spirits are good. Many "power naps". "We'll get through this", he says as he drifts off to sleep. God, how I love this man! Barbara

Jim,
ReplyDeletePower nap away! We love you and are praying with all of our hearts! Barb- please rest while Jim is napping. You need to keep up your strength! Hopefully the temp will keep going down and the transfusion will perk you up some tomorrow, Jim. You are a great warrior- keep up the fight! Many prayers and much love coming from your Texas cheering squad!
We love you both,
Jeanne and Frank
He's right; you will get through this! We're sorry for the ordeal he has to endure and keep praying for comfort and healing. His buddy is doing better; low grade only today and much more walking around. We love you both enormously, Susan and John
ReplyDeleteMy computer was having problems over the weekend so I didn't find out about Jim back in the hospital until this morning. So sorry to hear that he's not home enjoying those grandchildren and some ice cream. Hopefully he will be real soon. Know that we are alwyas thinking good thoughts and praying for you both.
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
