Not Home Yet
Jim's neutrophils are at 940 which is very, very good, but he ran a fever again this evening. All day the doctors were saying that he would probably go home tomorrow morning. So who knows what they'll decide for tomorrow since he's running a temp again. I'm thinking it will be very good for his mental health to let him come home. He's obviously frustrated--wants a few good days at home before he starts the 4th cycle of chemo next Friday, June 5th. Barbara

Dear Barbara and Jim,
ReplyDeleteWOW! How 'bout that neutrophil count! That's great- now- if that temperature would just stay down! We are praying very hard that you will stay afebrile, Jim, so that you can have the comfort of your own bed. Barb- I've said it before, but again we must thank you so much for your dedication to this blog! I know that every single person who sits down in the evening to check on Jim appreciates this more than you can imagine. So- thanks again. Sure do love both of you! Hope that you are both having a good night's sleep. God bless,
Much love, many prayers,
Jeanne, Frank and Alyssa
Jeanne is right; you have no isea how helpful it id to keep on touch with Jim's progress! And we hesitate to call so as not to disturb a good nap. Jeanne, we also look forward to your daily loving remarks. How blessed Jim and Barb have been by your friendship all these years. We also send love to you, Frank, and Alyssa. Hope these messages find you HOME Jim. We love you! John and Susan
ReplyDeleteDear Bloggers,it's 11:30 am EST. We were planning on a visit to Jim this weekend now that my cast is off and I can drive. Reading this mornings blog we decided the best thing for Jim is bedrest , so we called Barb and said we were'nt coming. We just got off the phone with Jim in the car heading HOME, and he insisted that we come. You all know Jim, you can't argue with him. Barb got on the phone and said his White count is up to 3000, he's going right to bed when he gets HOME and spend the next 24 hrs sleeping. So we're off to Falls Church tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Barb will get some time to bring you all up to date on the details of the medical report.
Just got a note from a Polack buddy who tells us Jim has been having chemo. (ME, is it true he doesn't know how to do a post?) I just read the entire blog from startup. Sounds like tis has been very difficult and trying. Hopefully the chemo series will get easier to handle as it progresses. We will keep you in our thoughts. John & Tammy.
